Liikkukaa has planned and published Easy to join booklet

Its goal is to introduce successful sport projects that have helped migrants integrate into the Finnish society through sports. The target group for some of the projects is migrants only and for others both migrants with natives. E.g. FC Turun Palloseura's Sydän Pelissä -activities are aimed at migrants and natives alike. From it arose an individual tolerance project.

The projects and the groups that carried them out vary in size and background. Represented are three migrant organizations (Mondial Stars Helsinki, Cosmos Juniors Espoo, Kuokkalan Tähti Jyväskylä), two consisting of mainly natives (FC Turun Palloseura, Richards Dart Helsinki) and a project in which an organization with migrant background (International youth association Kany ry Helsinki), native organization (Visa Basket Helsinki) and a foundation of public utility (Helsingin Diakonissalaitos) have fulfilled a successful, ongoing and stable activity.

Easy to join booklet's purpose is to point to central facts that will help carry out a successful project. Migrants often lack skill, network and resource to found and lead projects and organizations. However they do not lack activity as the initiatives to activities often come directly from migrants themselves.

We believe that by studying these six successful projects organizations will find new ideas on how to offer quality and versatile services to their members.
